Dose calculator

Work out what a reconstituted vial actually delivers: the concentration you end up with, the volume of one dose, and where that lands on a standard U-100 insulin syringe.

The arithmetic: concentration equals vial strength in milligrams divided by diluent volume in millilitres. Dose volume equals the dose in milligrams divided by that concentration. A U-100 syringe delivers 100 units per millilitre, so units equal dose volume in millilitres times 100. Some commonly advertised doses come out larger than a 1 mL syringe can hold; where that happens the calculator says so rather than printing a unit count the syringe cannot deliver.
